Width of HoverMenu Grows Each Time it is Passed Over

The Width of HoverMenu Grows Each Time it is Passed Over is this a bug or am i missing something. this can be seen by visiting my site and hover over the quick links url. I will not post my url in this since some may think i'm advertising but my url can be seen in my user profile. each time the mouse hover over the url panel or hovermenu expands.

Thanks.

The Padding Attribute cause the width of the HoverMenu expand on each hover of the mouse I have removed the padding from style sheet that is attached to the Panel control an seemed to have fixed my problem...

<asp:LinkButton ID="LinkButton1" runat="server">LinkButton</asp:LinkButton>

<div id="Div1" runat="server" style="display:none; background-color:ButtonFace; border:solid 1px #ccc;">
<span id="Span2" runat="server">div_hover</span
</div>
<cc1:HoverMenuExtender ID="HoverMenuExtender1"OnResolveControlID="HoverMenuExtender1_ResolveControlID" PopDelay="2"runat="server" PopupControlID="Div1" TargetControlID="LinkButton1"PopupPosition="Right" /
<br /><br /><br /><br /
<asp:Label ID="Label1" runat="server" ></asp:Label

aspx.vb

Protected Sub HoverMenuExtender1_ResolveControlID(ByVal sender AsObject, ByVal e As AjaxControlToolkit.ResolveControlEventArgs) HandlesHoverMenuExtender1.ResolveControlID

End Sub

What i am wrong?

Hi,

What are you trying to achieve?

The ResolveControlID event is defined in the ExtenderControlBase class, and it's called when the ExtenderControlBase fails to locate a control referenced by a TargetControlID. In this event, user code is given an opportunity to find the control.

Hope this helps.

Yes, it was just this, that i wanted to know

that is when start the resolveControlID and what it 's useful

thanks

Working With HoverMenuExtender with ASP .NET Menu Control

Hi!

Now I am working with Atlas April CTP.

I am trying to get HoverMenu on ASP. Net Menu Control to edit n delete the Menus at runtime.

Can anybody Help me whether it is possible or not...

waiting for reply...

Thanks and Regards,

L V Prasad Yedla.

I have the same problem. I was looking at this though and this isexactly what i need. The problem is i cannot get it to bind to asingle line of my gridview, or my treeview.
I am assuming you will have in the link button an 'Edit' command that will be placed in your C# code.

http://atlas.asp.net/atlastoolkit/HoverMenu/HoverMenu.aspx

Has anyone done this?
any pointers/hints?

You'll need to do something similar to the demo page where you

1) Specify a static/dynamic template for the menu

2) Put the extender in there next to the item

thanks for the quick reply.

could you be more specific on what i need to do with the menu?
my menu looks similar to the sample. which properties do i need to make static/dynamic?

thanks

I assume you're using the <DataBindings> section in the menu. In that case, it just generates the default HTML. You'll need to make it do a template. Check out the documentation for the Menu control - basically it's got a <StaticItemTemplate> and a <DynamicItemTemplate> that allow you to to customize what it generates. You'll need to do that and put the extender in there.
